I/H/E for 2000 CX
I searched and wasn't able to find the info. I needed, so any help would be appreciated.
I believe that for a 2000 CX you need the I/H/E and cat for an EX because on the CX the cat is connected. Please confirm my belief. Thanks.

you just need the headers and cat from an EX. an EX exhaust probably wouldn't fit a hatch the best, and although an EX intake might fit you should get an intake for your car if you can.
Thanks...i'm getting there...I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR!!! (geeeessshhhh!!)

Yea that's the first thing i would say to is leave it stock and get a SWAP, but if you still want your I/H/E then this is what I would look into... An AEM intake (if they make one for the D16Y7) I don't know if they do cuz i would always prefer to run a stock airbox... I guess the DX/CX one is kinda ugly.... http://www.aempower.com/induction.htm For the header I would just go with a 4-2-1 DC Ceramic unless you wanna have it look a bit nicer (then go with stainless), and as for the exhaust, I really don't know (sorry) because I hate just about every muffler out there... If I was working with your EK, I would build a B series motor (or even drop a stock B16), put a JDM ITR header on it and run an ES Oval muffler... As far as exhausts go, that is about the only one that I can stand the sound/tone of and I'm pretty that I wouldn't like the sound of a D16Y7 flowing through it.... Build a 2.0L motor and run those components that I just told you, it will have nice tone... I should tell you that I dropped a B18C1 into my friend's (jdmEKhb) 96 EK, his best with a CTR IN cam (no sprockets), ("INJEN intake" and DC 4-1 header), SK2 manifold, ACT clutch, 2000 Si tranny, and MT 20x6x14 slicks he ran a 13.29@101... That was with no passenger or rear seats but who cares cuz that's a whole 30lbs.. The reason I brought up his car is he runs his stock muffler, the same OE one that came on your car... Off the header it's piped back at 2.25" through a stock catalytic, and out to the back.... It does have a nice smooth sound to it... It sounds like a stock ITR in just the overall tone and rev... But yea sorry i went on, I'm just bored... Peace
Thanks for the response Kataku2K3...i'll probably use a K & N filter, custom piping w/ an es oval, powercore cat and dc sports ceramic header. Eventually, I'll swap once i put some miles on it. Unless, i come up on some money.
I also wanted to induct myself into the "water leak" club. I went to put some stuff in my trunk this morning and i could swim in all the water, literally. It was like 1 1/2 deep. I'll check the tail lights and such.
