I cant decide what to do
Ok ,im about fed up with this battle in my head. heres the deal, all suggestions will be appreciated very much.Im wanting to start a new project here, after the success of my y7/y8 mini-me conversion.i wnat to do another honda because i kinda fell in love with my civic.i wanna do an b16a sir2 into something older and classy ,now i chose the b16a2 because its seems to be alot cheaper than b18c 's,now ive only looked at jdm,ive got a couple good import yards i can go to within an hour of me,but ive also got a 1.6ltr disele vw from a 85 golf that would take to boost real easy, and thats just sittin started it up today actually for the first time in awhile .now i grew up with vw's and cant help loving them to.if i were to boost honda i was thinking d series which can be had for cheap (-upgrades for boost)Or on the other hand theres the all motor gsr b18c1 build lurking in my head ,telling me what to do most of the time.with the VW i can spend so much more on performance.Im just trying to figure out what will make me happy in the long run im trying to stay on an immediate engine budget of $2000,it seems the jdm motors are rather pricey, but how important are lowmileage benefits if im gonna totally rework the engine anyway?till i decide im losing sleep!
here's my opinion, just because it's what i know and am happy with: 88-91 CRX + USDM B16 + I/H/E = me so horny i'm loving my car long time! im skeptical of JDM import motors for two reasons: 1) everybody has a different reason for the engines supposedly having 30-60k and nobody will ever give you exact mileages. 2) if you knew you'd only have your engine for 30-60k miles how good of care would you take of it?
