HydroLock a good possibility?
Just wonderring how possible it was for an engine to lock up form sucking in to muc water or snow. I live in Ontario and have a cai on my crx. My car is very low to the ground and have heard that during the winter there is a good chance of the intake taking up to much snow and seizing. Would a panty hose over the fillter help a lot? I dont have the oem airbox
thanks
thanks
You pretty much have to submerse the intake to hydrolock the engine. Just avoid driving over deep puddles.
I live in WA, where it rains like crazy all the time and have been using a CAI for years, never had a problem.

i hydrolocked my car with out submerging it in a puddle it was actually like 6-8 inches above the puddle but it was raining so hard and i have no wheel well lining so i wouldnt risk it get a short ram.

so would a panty hose make a difference on my aem intake? I wanna keep my intake, just want a way now that I can help prevent to much water or snow from getting in. Was thinking a panty hose would do it
