hydro-to-cable...worth it?
Well, I'm tired of wasting money buying f#$ked up trannies from the streets. What if I get a hydro to cable converter and get a 1st gen b16 tranny? Any negative feedbacks on this?
I know the first generation b16 tranny is pretty old, but from japan they should be under 40k right? Would I have to change out my clutch kit too? or are the hydro and cable clutches the same?
Thanks for replies.

definitely do not do this, it's horrible, first of all yes the trannies are old and yes they are usually messed up, sure they saw it has low mileage but that doesn't mean too much considering jdm motors are usually driven hard and often in stop and go traffic, also the conversion will give you problems trust me i had one, the slave cylinder was not meant to be in a vertiical position pushing on the bar to release the clutch, your clutch will feel all screwy and hard to push and eventually your cylinder will give out. i just spent way too much money this weekend swapping it to a hydro tranny. trust me
I think about every person that has bought a first gen b16 swap (including me) has had a problem with their tranny. I dont see you avoiding any problems.
