B16 Tranny

B16 Tranny gearing ratio
Got a quick question. I've been having trouble finding a tranny for my B16 and I think I've found one but it's a Cable clutch and I have, or atleast use to have a hydraulic clutch. How can I find out if the gearing ratio is what I need? It's suppose to be a B16 tranny but I guess a older one. Anyone know? Please help if you have any ideas, I've been screwed around for 8 month's with this project and this is the last thing I need.

Re: B16 Tranny gearing ratio (kaoticivic)
well the gearing is prolly the same but you don't want a cable tranny if your car already has a hydro system(92 and up civics), check some junkyards there has got to be some...

If you already have an older B-series cable tranny on hand, you could use the HASPORT conversion kit that allows a hydro car actuate a cable tranny. It comes the necessary hardware and passenger side mount.
For the B16 I recommend the S1, J1, or Y1.
Try not to couple the high revving B16 to a LS tranny.
