Hydraulic Press Questions?
I have a 12 ton Harbor Freight hydraulic press and I need to press out the front hubs so I can install some new extended wheel studs. Except I can see to come up with how to support the front knuckles so I can press out the hubs. How have you guys done it? What can I use to support the knuckles? Pics would be great!!
Thanks,
John

I probobly have the same press. Its orange. Anyhow, I pressed mine out by using two 2x4s stood on their side. With the knuckle facing down, I put one 2x4 under the ball joint end and one under a tab on the longer side (top) of the knuckle. Used a big socket to press it out. The only thing is (if your doing wheel bearings) that you cant press the race off that is butted up against the hub. It takes a special tool that couldnt find a sustitute for. Hard to explain, but I hope that helped.
