Wheel Stud
I was taking off my wheel slugs when I broke the stud itself.
I bought a new one, removed the caliper, took the brakes off, got the stud by itself but it turns out I have to take the hub off. To do that I have to remove the wheel bearing to get at the stud, to put the new one in.
My question is: Can I REPRESS the wheel bearing AFTER I have taken it out of the hub?
Or do I need a new one?

yes you 99% of the time will need to replace them afterwards.

I got lucky when I replaced my studs. The hub came apart clean without messing anything up. I also found out that the ball joint seperators that utilize two arms are great for hand pressing studs in. You crank them down like youre trying to pop a ball joint. If it stops going throigh you can take a dead blow hammer to assist it. Since the ball joint separator is already putting pressure on it, the stud can get hammered in pretty easily.
I didnt have a press :/
I didnt have a press :/
I broke a stud, last year.
I got the parts and I found a local Machine Shop, they charged me $40 to:
press out all of the studs,
press in the new studs,
press out the bearing,
press in the new (oem) bearing.
Get on your local Honda/Acura site and ask which Machine Shop to use.

I know this thread is a few months old... but does anyone see any issue with replacing one of the studs how Eric replaced it?
if it matters, my GSR has the 5 lug conversion.
