hybrid tranny help!
yes.
Sort of.
The ring gear for the cable ls has a different bolt pattern than the GSR ring gear. Therefore it won't fit the LSD. Since the LS and GSR have different final drive ratios, you would have to use the LS FD with the GSR gearset in order to use that LSD.
So, in order to retain the 4.4 final drive of the GSR, you would need a ring gear form a 92-93 GSR or possibly a cable b16 trans. Not sure about the latter choice though.
I do have a 4.4 ring gear that would work with the LS LSD though.

You will have less overall torque to the wheels.

That link should illustrate the difference between the 2 final drive ratios.

YS1 simply refers to a specific case design. It is the large shaft cable case used in the 92-93 RS, LS,GS, SE and the 92-93 GSR. The 92-93 GSR had a different gear set with different gear ratios.
Since this case is the large shaft design, it shares internal dimension with the hydro cases. This is why you can swap gear sets between the two cases.
