Default YS1 Grief.....

This sucks...Anyways, I have the YS1 cable LS trans...with the Quaife LSD. I got a GSR final drive...shaft and ring gear. 66 teeth on the ring gear and 64 on the YS1. Here is the kicker. The shaft is the same....and the GSR ring gear I.D. did not fit the Quaife. Tore the whole trans apart to find this out. The inside diameter was too big and it just rattled on the LSD. Oh well..thought I would share. Sticking with the LS trans...I hate cars.

the YS1 ring gear has the b16a and LS offset and bolt pattern .. unlike the 94+ GSR and Type R. Your QUAFFE was probably for the Type R or GSR .. nto sure why you are changing ring gear when you could have ordered an LSD for b16a 92+ spline. .. they are all 4.4 f/d

I have a YS1 tranny coming to me next week. Is there anyway I could get the 98SpecR final drive on it?

The Quaife is for the YS1.....but the ring gear on the GSR is bigger. That is why it doesnt fit.
