Default hybird integra

Everybody swaps b16 or b18 into civics.
every common.

Since the weight factor is not that much between civic and integras.

Would it be wise to put a gsr engine in a ls integra.

With all the costs factored in, it'd make much more sense to turbocharge the LS motor. Better performance for less money.

I agree even tho i hate nonVTEC motors... The weight factor is really a big difference between a DC and say a EG, that's why you can drop a stock GSR into a EG and have a 13sec car.. You drop that same GSR into a DC and you'll probably at best be somewhere around ~14.50's on slicks... A DC weighs around 2700lbs.. an EG with a GSR comes to right around 2250lbs... I love the Teg chassis, body, and handling the best but it does have it's downside and that's the weight... If you wanna have a 11 second all motor daily driven car an EG is really the way to go... That's just the way I see it... Good Luck with whatever path you take... If you are keeping your LS motor and just buying a GSR why not just sleeve up the LS and toss a VTEC head on it with high comression pistons... It'll be more work than just that but you could build an LSVTEC out of your motor now that could make more power than a stock GSR... I personally like GSR's better than LSVTEC's but price wise you would be able to spend that money on your LS motor then to get a GSR and sell the LS to build it... I hope you can see what i'm sayin.. I suck at explainin stuff.. hehehe... Peace

Thanks kataku2k3.

If you have a ls engine which has high miles, 125,xxx and you do a conversion on it ls/vtec, does that reset your milage to zero since its all new internals and new head.

and last question, how effient are ls/vtec in gas milages in comparsion to gsr

The bottom end of the LS motor is basically untouched, so no you'd need a quality engine rebuild to "reset" your mileage, so to speak.

Gas mileage is going to be about the same, unless your driving habits change drastically with the newfound power.

There's no sense in building an LS-VTEC motor if what you are after is good power output (read: real performance). The turbo setup I mentioned will cost a bit more, but make far more power and do so reliably if you take your time and build it right. You can go into the Forced Induction forum and get excellent information regarding this, just make up your mind on a final power goal before asking the questions.
