Help Me! EG Morals
Alright guys, I've had my EG for 3 years now. I had a fully built GSR motor pushing a gutted shell. After it got stolen I got a 92 Civic Si. Its stock, its slow. I was thinking of getting a 94+ integra, basically so I could have power windows and a JDM front end. Sometimes I want to keep the Si and sometime I want a DC.
I guess I'm asking for reasons why you would want an EG instead of a DC. If you guys could just start listing any and all reason why you would rather have a EG that would be really helpful to me. Thanks.
If this is too OT then could a Mod move it there, sorry

Id rather rock the DC with a JDM ITR front end, but id worry about it getting stolen.
A clean EG hatch I think is better than a integra from a racing aspect. But daily driving crusier a clean integra is mighty nice.
So since I didnt help you at all, keep the Si and work on this. After this project then do a integra.

Re: Help Me! EG Morals (1 point 6)
Lets see if I can clear things up a bit.
I already have a 92 Si that is basically stock. I'm the type that has to modify watever I drive. Thank God I've only bought Hondas. Anyway I'm looking for good and bad points on modified Integras VS Hatches.
I'm already aware of the logical points, like weight. I plan on swapping motors on the Si if I don't get an Integra. And since I have the Si with a B series, I should be somewhat closer to the weight of a DC.
I'm just looking for reasons why you EG owners wouldn't sell your cars to get a DC. Or why you would.

if you want the power windows/locks, you could just get the parts from a wrecked EX coupe and swith everything over. its a direct bolt on. IMO it would be cheaper going that way then gettin a dc and besides Si's are harder to come by than dc's

Re: (Jinya1004)
The dc will handle better compared to the hatch! But an equally modifyed coupe(civic) would be the same as a integra! (same platform) I dunno! I think your conflict here is going to be more about comfort and stlye than weight and performance! Both cars are going to perform great! The hatch would give you a slight head start on the weight issue! The integra really isn't all that much more roomier in the cabin, soo....Stay with the hatch! Get a chevy 350 in there and your good~!

I don't buy this bullshit about Integras handling better.
Look at Honda Challenge contestants - fastest car on the track is an EG!
Ask chad since he's the ECHC gugu. you could also ask Jack (b18cxr) since he drives one of the fastest ECHC cars which also happanes to be another EG.
IMO I like the stlying better on the 1992-1995 hatch. Weight, pricing, insurance, etc. are all more reasons why I love the EG.
One of my best friends drives an ITR and my CX could rape it in every category except maybe for braking since his brakes are bigger and have ABS. My **** also costed about $10,000.00 LESS too and it has the same exact engine and even better suspension, new paint, body work, all new trims, etc.
I like Integras but IMO they are no better for daily driving than a nice full interior's 1992-1995 Civic.

Re: Help Me! EG Morals (EGtoDC2)
personally, i am gonna get another dc after owning an eg. just it is too small for me and i want something that is a little bigger and that gives me a little better chance in a wreck. I have also been in love with integras since i was about 13 years old and when i got one the first time, it felt so nice to be in so im gonna get one of those and make it fast now
