Default How safe and reliable is this setup

b16a2 with 12:1 cp pistons
type r cams with aem cam gears
type r throttle body and intake manifold
and a stage 2 clutch and flywheel

all on stock valve train and rod bolts.

Is there going to be any clearance issues or is it perfectly safe?It will be getting tuned of course but i want to know before i get it.

Ok pistons are in,stock rods, just waiting for my arp's to get in.

Anyone have a estimate on how much power i will make? After its running skunk 2 springs and retainers are a must, but for now im just going to rev out to 7800 after break in.

why go 12:1 and put type r cams in it, usually you go high compression to support some "aggressive" cams due to the profile decreasing the effective dynamic compression.

Clay the motor in vtec to find any clearance problems, my suggestion would be to get some aggressive cams to go along with the compression, and springs and retainers to keep things stable when your twirling the motor up high.

What are your goals/expectations for this motor.

My expectations arent too high, just a little streetable power would be nice. I picked up the type r cams with aem cam gears for 250. My boy had a b16a2 with a completely blueprinted and balanced spoon bottom end with type r head, dual valve springs and retainers, aebs intake, and all that other jazz and made damn good power. So i figured type r cams would be that bad of a deal for the price.
