How safe are ITBS????
is there any damage they can do to your motor? I know you can put little filters or something in them but are they bad on daily drivers even if tuned properly?
I've heard that the Toda setup has to be adjusted alot.....plus you hav eto run a new EM system. Its a major major modification to do to a car, but when they work right.......umpf.

i think there are some foam covers you can get for the street, i dunno about stock ecu either, personally if i was going to run itb's i would want it tuned on a dynomometer. Supposedly, one teaspoon of dirt in your intake tract is equivalent to like 80k miles of engine wear, just use common sense
ITBs are quite safe as there are a number of companies that make filter covers for it. Running ITBs connected to a dump tube isn't a bad idea either... As long as the ITBs are working independently siphoning air from the dump tube with a filter, it will work. Tons of custom work though.

Anything is possible and can be made to filter them out. Some companies make airboxes that can be purchased separately to keep dirt from entering the intake ports.

Did you ever run your hatch in the 1320? What HP were you puttin down. I am thinking of ITB's but I am not sure. Just curious.

if your worry about sucking stuff up with them then you could just get a filter kit for them
And there as safe as long as there tuned properlly
I highly doubt that they could be run on a stock ecu...........
But im no expert but I do know some people even with a hondata have a difficult time getting them to run properlly but that might just be me being a noober and now knowing anything

Chris from Hookups Import Tek had them on a stock ECU and the car ran great. He drove that car all over the place with no problem and that car was a screamer on the road course!!!!!!!!!!
