I have a 98 Honda Civic I know the manual says to replace the spark plugs every 2 years but should I do the wires as well. it's running ok for the most part I was just asking if I should go ahead and get the Wires done as well since I am doing the plugs. Thanks for answering my questions also what wires do you all recommend?

Re: How often should I replace my plugs and wires
What kind of plugs??? I replace my ngk copper plugs every oil change. Irridium I replace 100k miles.
As far as wires the ngk blue wires are all I use and I have a 370 whp boosted gsr.
I bought NGK Copper V Powers they were last replaced it will be 2 years ago this July when I bought it. It had approx 189K now has 207K. If the last mechanic told me he did it if he did not than I don't know when the last time was. But I do notice it feels like it's starting to misfire slightly but its not enough to throw a code yet. I have bought the plugs I Also wanted to ask What type of wires you all recommend? cause I am going to replace those as well. this weekend. Thanks for all your help.
Get a halfway decent DMM and test the resistance of the plug wires. They should have some resistance and it should be proportional to length. I was seeing 1500ohm for the shortest and 2700ohm for the longest. If your plug wires test okay and look in good shape then leave them be. If you do want to replace them, NGK all the way.
Daily ride, not race car with original wires set @ 260 thousand miles and new plugs every 100kmi. Cap has been scraped and cleaned twice and as far as I know is the second cap on the car. Car gets 36 mpg and no running issues.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it. It was hell getting the one spark plug out on the drivers side, you know the washers that are on the plugs? they were so over torqued that they were smashed in. The one on the drivers side was a little cross threaded to but they all still went in the engine ok. Hear is the b4 & after Pic.
B4 with old wires and plugs
After with new NGK wires & Plugs. also after my friend took the distributor off and cleaned the points and put a new O-ring on it cause it was leaking. and cleaned corrosion out of it due to a broken off screw that he also fixed. and sealed it tight so moisture could not get in there.
