I'm sure a decent exhaust shop could cut the bad parts out and weld new ones in. It would be almost as good as new. I'd guess, $100??? I dunno.

What in the world did you do to that. If it ever was straightened it'd still have dents in it. I go with the haveing new pipe welded in or replace the whole piece. That part has to line up fairly precisely as well. Replacement would be best.

Is that a DC Sports header? Then its not worth fixing. Plus those new welded peices, you're going to pay half the cost of a new one to get that fixed to crap condition. How did you do that? Front end colission I assume...

Yeah it is a DC sport 4-2-1 header. for your eyes.

Its up for sale.
I didn't do it, i was considering buying this, the top part is in good shape, this is the only flaw in the header.
So, i just wanted to know if its worth buying or not ?
How much would new lower piece cost?

Call up DC and see if you can get just that piece for cheap.. I wouldn't buy that though, actually before I say that, how much is the kid asking for the header?

if your good at fab. work you could heat it up with a torch and ram a ball point rod down that tube and shape it back into a tube. might not be perfect but close. i could do it easly for you. id have to see the thickness of the metal and is that steel... with a creamic powdercoat.

For 80 bucks. As is.
But the thing is, its for 96 GSR, i think its going to end up 4" short on my car, thats another problem.

I would sleep on it. It's never going to have its flow ability that it had when it left DC's factory. But then again it's only 80 bucks, I would go to a shop or 2 and show them a pic of that and see what the deal is to fix it..

I'm sure they can make a little extension piece for you. You're gonna be spending some decent $ doing all of this though

just buy it, goto an exhaust shop with the top part of the header and tell the to cut the bottom flange and weld a test pipe or pipe to the cat (for all you tree huggers).
