tried to post before, no responce. i was thinking of putting some larger piping on my lude from the cat backto the muffler, 2.5" i believe, and a magnaflow muffler at the end. I could get it for 180$ installed and everything. I dont know if its mandrel bent though. Anyways what kind of gains should i expect to get if any? Is it even worth it, or is it even a good deal? Its a 92 si stick, with just an AEM shortram intake, by the way. Or is ti just for looks and sound? Any input is much appreciated, thanks in advance.

 

anywhere from 0-10 hp. 10 is really pushing it.

 

You could expect to see maybe 4-5hp, and a few more lbs/ft of torque in your mid-upper power band.

I think you will notice the most gain on your top end pull.

 

Expecting 10 hp is expecting a little too much. Around 5 hp gain is a little more reasonable.

Just make sure that the piping is mandrel bent. If it not, the odds are you probably won't gain any power over the stock exhaust.
