I have a stock bore B18B motor. The cylinders are not really worn but a little bit out of round. To be safe im going to bore it atleast .20 thousands. Would it be safe to bore it .40 thousandths? Sparkracing.com sells aftermarket ITR pistons in std, .20, and .40 is why I ask.

Serisouly though, agreed. When you get up to 82mm-84mm, the cylinder walls are becoming very thin. If you want displacement, but a big block V8. If you want to make up for lost displacement, buy a turbo.

 

If you want displacement, get it resleeved.

 

How much can I bore it without hurting anything? I want to bore it to 82mm.

 

Im going N/A, no nitrous, and no turbo. Its going to have a rev limiter of 8800.

.020 over for boost or .040 over for all motor....dont go more or the sleeves become too weak.
