what mile is it recommended to break in a freashly built motor(b18c1)...some people told me 400 and some told me 800?....im bout to install hondata and dyno this friday ...need to know...ive already put 500 miles on it as of today...

 

well it all depends on how youve broken it in. some people break em in easy and some give em hell after 50 miles.
Have you changed the oil yet?

 

500 mi. is good enough for a break-in.

 

so i guess i could start giving it hell then...probably ill change the oil before i go to the dyno...should i use full synthetic or regulat oil...right now im usin regular oil until break in...but since it already broken in i guess i could start usin full synthetic oil...

I wouldnt use synthetic oil for a few thousand miles..

yeah...probably im gonna wait until couple of thousand mile...but it safe to get it dyno right...

 

On a freashly built engine I change my oil at 20, 100, 300, and 500. Since you've already gone 500, well......
Also, how hard have you pushed the engine? 4K max for the first 3-400 miles, right?
Do you know what you A/F is? 500 miles on an untuned engine seems excessive.

i havn't push it hard..i been easy on it and only rev up to 3k rpm...well, im not goin to push it hard untune...this friday im gonna get a hondata & dyno it....
