B18c is JDM Type R and JDM GSR

B18c5 is USDM Type R

B18C1 is USDM GSR

Any numbers after are the code are USDM motors just like

B16A1-2-3 or 4 is USDM

B16a is JDM

yes look for the engine tag on the front off the motor it should have b18c plus a number for the serious. b18c1 is the ls and gs motor, b18c3 is the gsr motor, and the b18c5 is the type r motor. hope this helps but there is no really way to id the engine for jdm unless you check the compression because its to easy to change the serial numbers. where are you getting this motor from? i work for a performance shop and i never sell a jdm motor with out the papers. good luck.

YOU WORK AT A PERFORMANCE SHOP
thats so pathetic.

the b18c1 is the GSR motor
the b18b is a LS motor
b18c3 and c4 are euro GSR motors
do NOT give out misinformation like that.

and jdm motors dont have 'papers'. unless you mean a reciept.

There is no such thing as a Euro GSR, the B18C4 was found in the Civic VTi-S and Aerodeck.
