Default How to I.D. Civic tranny?

Ok so im thinking about buy a tranny from a kid on another forum and he says he doesnt know anything about it. Here is what he told me.

"the guy that sold it to me Said it was "mint" and running before pulled. I have no clue what car it came from but the fork says p20 and the barcode says s40-1980080 "

Now i looked around and all 5th gen Civic hydro trannies are p20's but there is either p20/A000 or p20/B000 but where exactly on the tranny does it have this stamped? or does it even? Sorry if this is a dumb question but ive never got into looking at the transmissions at all.

Figured it out. Thanks anyways.

I guess there is a cirlce cast into the housing by the fill plug that will either have p20-A000 or p20-B000 stamped in it.

p20-A000 = CX,VX, & DX

p20-B000 = EX, & Si
