Default S40 Tranny question

I was planning to buy this tranny from this guy because my tranny went bad. He claims that its from a 99 Civic EX. So my question is how do i know its from a 99 Civic EX and not from another model like HX, DX? The tranny say S40-1906460. So i wasnt sure if thats from an EX or not. Can anyone verify this?

i don't think these trannies are high on the be stolen list and value is fairly low.
