Default how to get govenors off....

i got a honda civic 04 and the ****** shuts off at 115-120 top speed. its because of the govenor, but i have no idea where that is or how i would get it off, or even the cost, but the damn govenor has definitely got to go.

what he said... or you could unplug your VSS seriously i hope this is on a track, 120 on a freeway is a no no, unless it's like 2am and no one is on the road then i would just say be careful

why do you need to go over 120 on the interstate? Do you find it fashionable to endanger your own life, and the lives of innocent people that happen to share the roadway with you?

A V6 accord will crush a civic.. ditching the govoner won't make a differance.

How about keep it off the streets and on the track. Is human life so meaningless to you that you will endanger innocent people just to see who has the biggest *****?

i dont know how a standard accord v6 is going to beat dohc vtec, greddy catback exhaust, and aem v2 cold air honda civic. but hey you never know, right? and my bad ill keep the racing on a shut off road, i wont put innocent lives in danger. but a civic definitely wont beat it with a govenor.

ok im confused ur telling me u have a dohc vtec ok? most likely it would be an integra motor which dont have a govenor u just run out of gear around 140 same with the k20 of an rsx and civic si so NO if u have a prelude motor im sorry u do have a govenor but clue me in if ur advanced enough to put a dohc vtec motor in an 04 civic then how the hell do u not know what to do about a govenor i was just askin cuz im lost and im hearing something getting louder in the backround as im typing this o wait i think its sayin BULL ****.

ps i read it b4 and ill repeat it goin 120 on public roadways is very very stupid

I think its best that you keep that limiter on, especially with your lead foot. Ive gone 130mph in my lude once and never again. It was early in the morning and i was curious and stupid. That was about 3 years ago, i dont think ive gone over 100mph once since then. Going that fast in the street will only get you 2 things. 1. A one way ticket to jail. or 2 six feet under.

Keep it at the track.

And yes, the V6 accord will still mow your lawn.
