the automatic harness has more plugs than the manual. this is a one way swap. you can put a manual where an automatic was, but not the other way around. Another way to look at it is that you can put an auto harness on a manual application. Hope that is what you were looking for.

i am using a b-series non vtec auto harness (obd1) on a five speed b-series vtec setup. no problems whatsoever. i doubt that obd2 has differences from actual wiring to the motor sensors. there will just be extra plugs and they will just hang or cut them and tape them if cleanliness matters.

Difference is in the transmission side:

5 speed harness has the reverse light switch hook up that A/T don't.

A/T harness has connectors for the lockup solenoid instead.

Go to a junkyard and chop off a 2-wire IACV connector and wire it up.

Yel/Blk to Yel/Blk
Blk/Blu to Blk/Blu

You'll leave the orange wire alone. At the ECU, just remove the wire/pin that resides in A14 and move it over to A12. Now when you plug in a 5-speed ECU, you'll have a functioning IACV.

You should pm katman, he knows all about what makes the A/T ecu's tick.
