how do you do a compression test?
warm car up, make sure its fully warmed up
remove ecu fuse
remove spark plugs
GENTLY thread compression tester into sparkplug hole Dont torque more then you can with 2 fingers.
hold the compression tester
push the gas pedal to the ground
push clutch in
turn motor over 5 times
record and compare.
The key is to look for consistent results.
good compression is when they are all the same +- 10PSI
for even MORE accurate results, remove your intake. I choose not to because it doesnt change much. Your mostly looking for consistancy. High #'s are just bragging rights
let car COMPLETELY cool before putting back the spark plugs, otherwise you risk a higher chance of stripping the spark plug thread.
torque to 12ft/lbs
