Cast iron = wire brush
Cerarmic = shouldn't have rust
Stainless steel = shouldn't have rust

maybe not in CA but in the snow states, there's always gonna be rust no matter what underneath the car. My brother's DC ceramic header is starting to rust where the welds are at the bottom. Or is that not rust? Sure looks like rust to me. I wonder if my boss would let me work on some parts I have since we do metal finishing (color/non color anodizing, electro polishing on stainless steel, and plating)

Just wrap that **** up with some nice dei header wrap and never worry about cleaning again. Also get a little better performance outta it.

Yup exactly...and when you install your header do not put the grease from your hands on the header. Wear some gloves and no discoloration will happen...I learned this one from personal experiance.

Clean the header use a wire brush to get the rust spots off, if its a stainles steal header spray hair spray on it, the hair spray will bake on to the header and act as a protector. Im not sure how well it will work now that the header has been used but its still worth a shot.
