I just put in a d16y8 motor in my 98 DX hatch. Can't plug up the secondary oxygen sensor to the EX engine harness I'm using cause it's usually plug up the to the EX dash harness. I'm still using my DX dash harness so I'm suppose to wire it directly to the ECU. How do I actually wire it to the ECU pins? Cut the plug off the o2 sensor and extend each wires accordingly, and splice it into the right wires as instructed below?

Last but not least, the second O2. The plug goes through the floor board behind the cup holder. If you have an EX and are performing the swap, then all you need to do is plug the O2 to the plug behind the cup holder. If you have the CX or DX then look at the O2 plug from the pin side and then look at this diagram below and wire to the ecu.

For the 96-98 OBDII ecu:

1 (green) goes to D13 (green/ blk) for sensor ground

2 (white) goes to D14 (white/ red) for sensor signal

3 (blk/white) goes to A5 (blk/ white) for heater signal

4 (blk/yellow) needs to "TAP" into A11 (yellow/ blk) for 12v power

What exactly are you asking or trying to do, put a certain o2 sensor on a dx civic of some year? all obd2 hondas have at least 2 heated o2 sensors(some newer and other models have af sensors as primary but wiring is similar)

I can't plug my secondary o2 sensors since my DX dash has no connectors. How do I wired it to my ecu? Cut the plug and splice each wire into the other wires appropriately?
