Default how do i remove the upper ball joint out of the knuckle???

1994 accord

on the helms manual it says to remove the 40mm ring.. i can't find a ring.. is it above the knuckle or below it?? i have that special tool also to remove the ball joint from the knucle.. i need to take the whole ball joint OUT... please let me know..
btw i already seperated the arm from the ball joint... and now i have to take out the ball joint itself.
