How do I get to the tenioner?
I really need to get my timing belt back on, like, yesterday.
I just put the stock cams back in my car, but now I can't get the timing belt onto the cam gears. I need to reach the tensioner. I know it's just above the crank pulley, but with the timing cover still on, and all of the accessories still in place, it seems impossible to get to. How do I get the 14mm socket up there to loosen the tensioner? Do I need to move my A/C pump or what?

On my 1g b16a there is a plug on the timing cover that can be removed to allow access to the belt tensioner. It is a rubber plug about halfway down towards the crank pulley.
i have one question for you, did you at any moment have the tension loose on the back side, cause if you did, i highly recommend that you spend the five minutes and take the lower timing cover off and make sure everything is lined up. just a little advice from an acura tech. oh btw, be careful with that tensioner bolt, the sides are very shallow and is easy to strip if you don't use a GOOD 6 point socket. don't use a 12 point.
