How to convert weight of rims to lbs??
Ok many rims have a stamp on the back of them for instance 620kg. This is the weight correct?? I searched and found that 1 pound = 2.2046 kg. But if that's true then 1 rim weighs 280 lbs.
Maybe 620kg isn't the weight? Anyone know ?

the 620kg on the wheel is the load rating, usually if its a universal wheel (4x100 + 4x114.3) there will be 2 numbers stamped on the wheel
for example my wheels say
4x100 - 500kg
4x114.3 - 620kg

I think you'll find that 1 Kg=2.2046lbs, which means that a wheel marked 640kg=1411lbs. I have never seen a wheel marked with its weight. If you don't have a loose wheel to weigh, try contacting the supplier and see if they can tell you. You could also try weighing the wheel and tire and then finding out what that specific tire weighs and subtract for an approximate wheel weight.
If you're talking about weighing your tire & wheel and subtracting the tire weight, you have to account for the compressed air in there, let the air out first. I have no idea what a 205-50-15 tire's worth of 30 psi air weighs
