Default How to check for bad LMA'S

is there any procedure, I got a slight knock,(not pinging ),gets louder under load, or when I rev it, also noticeable at idle. Pretty sure its from under the valve cover.
Could forged Pistons be whats makin the noise , I heard they could be noisy

Do a valve adjust..... Then see how it is.... You'll know if your LMA's are still good by just pressing them down... Press down on the VTEC rocker to see that it has a little spring to it... If you push down and it doesn't come back up then replace.. Latez

Hate to rain on your parade, but it could also be a rod knock. Pull the spark plug wires one by one, and if the noise goes away when one particular cylinder is not firing, you are bumming. That cylinder has a rod bearing problem. If the noise does not go away, then it is more likely the valvetrain.

not the rods, its been making this sound since I first started up the car. clearances
were all good, and plus I just pulled down the pan and re-checked how the bearings are wearing so Im like 99.9% sure its in the valetrain

i had a set of forged pistons in my ls. they were pretty loud. A lite clattering at idle that got louder as more revs.
im pretty sure your engine is ok
remember it is not a stock engine so it will not sound, perform, feel, smell, taste(!) like one.
