Default engine makes a ticking noise once warm? please help!?

I start my car and it sounds fine untill it warms up. Then it sounds like i have a valve that needs to be adjusted. So i checked them and they are all perfect. Could a valve spring wear out over time with factory components or could it be something else?

is it a rod knock? pull the plug wires one by one and see if it goes away on one cylinder when you kill the spark
