Default How to break my engine in?

I have a 95 gsr with a ls engine T3/T4 hybrid, Aem ems, intercooler, cold air, msd ignition, sleeved block, je pistons, eagle h rods, 550 msd injectors, port n polished head, exaust, aem fuel regulator, arp bolts, Fal fans, greddy blowoff, drag wastegate, fjo wideban, apexi turbo timer, apexi turbo boost computer, auto meter boost, and air/ fuel gauges, short shift, 13 inch aem brakes, 17 inch enkie rims, toyo tires. Any thing else I should buy? anything here I dont need? How do I brake my engine in??? What kind of plugs should I use?

u have those performance.....and u have 17" rims....anyways...the engines not new right? its been used? so it should have been broke in.......when u put in ur turbo just drive it around da block and recheck for any oil leaks..um..after that i just smash on it but dont redline and see how that feels....datz normally how i do it.

Do I need diferent size rims? Yes new engine, sleeves and pistons.

no u dont need different size rims hehe i was just jokin...cuz its bad on quartermile if u goin to run with 17's, thats all.....but when u first start ur engine....just let it idle til u hear it starts bubblin..then u can start driving....i think..dont rev high for the first 500-800 miles..then after that ur good .........datz all i can think of......good luck

Do a search, there are many engine break in threads.

Make sure that you're not running too lean before you drive it.. don't want to detonate. Make certain to prime the engine, keep the RPMs down for the first 500 miles or so. Change the oil often, your first few changes will be metallic, want to get it all out of there. As far as plugs, you probably want to run one that is colder than stock, NGK and Denzo are good plugs, I use Denzos.

I wouldn't take advice from n00bs that can't speak english either.

I think that the first should be after 500 miles.

Earlier than that, the bearing material builds up quick, I did 300-400 mile oil changes, until there was no longer any bearing material in it.
