How to bleed coolent hoses
I just fixed my fast idle thermo valve.... and im not sure how to bleed my hoses... Im not really sure if any air bubbles got in my coolent lines.... but im thinking theres a pretty good chance..... so can anyone explain how to bleed my hoses just in case...... thanx
Look for a bleeder valve, either on the thermostat housing or in the head near the upper radiator hose (depending on year/model). Open that until there's no more air bubbles, then open the radiator cap & add whatever you need.
If your engine doesn't have any bleeder valves then Honda believes the radiator cap IS the highest point where the bubbles always collect. Either way, you should probably squeeze & push on the big hoses to push air bubbles towards the radiator so you can get them out.
