Default Hondata+J&S? compatability ?'s

Just wondering... since the Hondata has its own boost retard, and the J&S has boost retard, will they mess each other up? And it has it's own map sensor, but the Hondata has an optional 3 bar map as well.. Do you just tap in the J&S on top of the Hondata/factory wiring?

I'm getting Hondata 3b, but I won't have a knock sensor. I was just planning on running the J&S unit to control the knock (if I get any)........

Why won't you have a knock sensor?

The Hondata requires an OBD-1 ECU, and the one I'll be using will have the knock sensor disabled. All according to Hondata's website. I don't like this considering not having a knock sensor probably blew up my motor...

Why don't you get one with a knock sensor? I don't seem to understand.

So do I...just purchase the J&S Safeguard Version 0, as you wont have a need for the boost retard feature since Hondata has the maps for you. I highly recommend using the J&S & a P28 over a P72 by itself...J&S is far beyond the stock program of the P72 knock retard.
