Default Honda vs. Scion performance

Ok so my friend and I are having a bit of an argument about Scions and Honda's.
He thinks an xB will generally out perform a 5th gen Prelude. Now I don't know a helluva lot about cars...and I admit I am a newbie. But I am doing as much research to learn as much as I can about how cars work and what can be done to make cars perform better. If im wrong I have no problem admiting it, but im pretty sure Preludes have more performance gains and options than xB and probably even the tC, at least for now.

---> This was our conversation. Please tell me im right!
"Yeah I did my research...a stock 98-01 5th gen prelude runs 195-200 HP STOCK! with 156 ft.lbf torque thats running the stock h22a4 vtec engine.
The top of the line Scion Xb (2nd Gen 2007) only runs 158 HP with 105 ft.lbf torque on a 2.4 L
The tC only runs 161 hp with 163 torque! Its compression ratio is 9:8:1 the prelude is 10:0:1! The tC also runs the same engine as the Camery.

Prelude officially beats the tC and rapes the xB by quite alot. Remember were talking STOCK."

"...ofcourse stock wise son....itz a given..i'm talkin performance"

The second gen xb has the same engine as the tc up to 07, I don't know if they changed the tc engine in 08.

Not a moderator or anything but I think this is bench racing.
