Honda Quintet Engine Mounts
Anyone know where I can obtain front and rear engine mounts for a 1983-4 Honda Quintet? These were a 1.6 carb engine the same(?) as the early 1976 -80 Accord I think. Four door sedan with a rear hatch.
In Japan they were called the Honda Quint. In all export markets they were know as the Honda Quintet except Australia where they were rebadged as the Rover Quintet and sold from 1983 to 1986.
They seem to have used parts from other Honda models - e.g front bottom suspension arms are same as early Prelude, semi auto 2 speed gearbox was also used in Prelude/Accord? dash is similar to other models around that time

Hate to break it to you, but it looks like the mounts were unique to the Quintet - no other vehicles of that vintage seem to share the mounts -- though my parts catalogue only goes back to 1982. It's possible a vehicle older than that would share similar mounts.
The part numbers I searched on were 50827-693-000 (BRACKET, ENGINE RR. MOUNTING) and 50825-693-000 (BRACKET, ENGINE FR. MOUNTING)
Have you tried searching UK or German wrecker's yards? Sometimes you find a gem.

Found the rear part here http://www.hondapartsnow.com/genuine...7-693-000.html
Whoops, I'm an idiot - I didn't look on the USDM sites
The front engine mount for that Prelude is 50825-692-000 ... it looks very similar to the Quintet one, but probably isn't exactly the same. Might give you something to start with, though.

Looks like it. Front and rear mounts are the same, yes. I can't really see Honda making an unique mount for an existing engine (EL1.6) previously fitted to the 76 Accord when it was already available in their parts bin.

No, Quintet was never sold in North America.
But -- you're looking only for the rubber? The metal bracket is fine? Well, that's a little easier. Front and Back are p/n 50811-SA0-980. This was available on 82/83 Hondamatic Civics. According to the parts diagrams, this should be interchangeable with 50811-SA0-020, which was available on many other models of 80-83 Civics. In Europe, the -020 part was also on some early 80s Accords, and is interchangeable with 50811-SA5-000. This -SA5-000 part is interchangeable with some early 80s Preludes, too.
Anyway, all this to say that you can be pretty certain that the aftermarket mount that you've found is most likely a perfect fit.

Thanks for all this most helpful information. Yes, the metal's ok it's just the rubber mounts I need.
I have also found that in Australia, where the Rover Quintet sold quite well in the early '80s, that Kelpro make an aftermarket engine mount simply titled 'Honda 1980 - 84' part number MT8330 which is shown in their catalogue as measuring 50mm x 55mm with a thread at each end, available online from eziautoparts.com.au
