I didn't like that Redline fluid. The Honda MTF is nice a smooth. The redline wasn't.

With the Redline MTF my tranny was very noisy and had some grinding when shifting to 2nd and 3d gears. Then some people told me I shouldn't be using Redline unless I replaced the MTF 3-4 times per year. Some also told me to stick with Honda MTF because I have a Quaife LSD. Didn't know if they were right or not, all I knew was that my car was running "rough" and was noisy from the minute I put Redline in my tranny. So I switched back to Honda MTF and what a difference. Tranny got much more quiet and smooth, and no more grinding!

Why switch to another fluid when Honda has done so much R&D on these fluids and have created them specifically for our trannies?
I can probably see if you 're putting down 200-300whp and you 're out on the track every weekend, but for daily driven, or auto-xed Hondas with an extra 20-30whp of bolt ons, it's not necessary.
The same Honda MTF is what is used on the Acura NSX and S2K. It's no longer good enough for our Civics and Integras but it's fine for these other more expensive, higher revving, higher horsepower true sports cars?

so far i change it every 3 months, or depending... its a track only car now. ive never used hondta mtl before, so far, with the redline, i have yet to have any grinds or any type of problems.

i'm turbocharged now so i guess redline would be the way 2 go due to the higher hp?
