Icon5 Honda Domani engine HELP!!

Hi everyone, im new to this forum but i have been reeding some trying to find some answers to my problem but no luck.

I live in Chile, Southamerica and im a real honda noob, kind of a car noob in general we could say, i bought my first honda, a japanese imported Honda Domani sedan 1999 1.5l automatic and have been looking for a timing belt valve cover water pump kit here in Chile whith no luck, so i have been searching on ebay but im not sure of what engine i have, on the motor i says D15B-6000438.

In some post people talk about this engine, some say the D15B vtec is a d16z6 which makes me wounder if mine is vtec, it doesnt have any vtec stamps on it but i think i see two of those "solenoid", i have attached pics, would be most greatfull if anyone could guide me whith this.

Also the power steering pump is damaged so i need to replace it, i think i have asked ebay sellers about this aswell whith no luck...

would realy apriciate some help, what engine do i have? is it a vtec? what timing belt valve cover seals water pump kit would fit my car?
what non japanese honda model would be the equivalent to the Domani version?

Oh sorry for the bad English, havent spoken/writen it since i lived in Sweden (8yrs)

Your engine appears to be the non vtec 1.5L.

The solenoids you circled are for the automatic transmission.

The solenoid for vtec is approximately distributor height behind the head by the intake air tube area.

In your pics, I don't see the vtec solenoid under the pipe on the back left corner of the head.

Your D15B non vtec would take the D15B7 or D15B2 timing belt, water pump kit.

So for USA models that would be the 92-95 Civic DX or I don't remember the years or trim of EF's that had the D15B2. Wikipedia will help you locate all the cars with the D15B7 and the D15B2.

vtec solenoid would be here in your pic:

ok i think you are right mi engine dosn´t appear to be vtec, so i been looking at this kit

"HNBR" Timing Belt Water Pump Kit 88 95 Honda 1 5L D15B1 D15B2 D15B6 D15B7 D15B8 | eBay

but today a removed the head and moved the upper cover and looked at the timing belt and it says: Honda 14400p2a004, thats the partnumer i gues and 103RU24 would mean 103 teeth and 24 in weith, i might be totaly wrong.. the kit that fits the D15B7 and D15B2 has 106 teeth
I would apriciate if you could tell me im wrong

i have been reading this post
https://honda-tech.com/honda-civic-d...needed-896191/
people talk here about a jdm D15B vtec that uses timing belt kit for a VX
i was thinking, now im a car noob so bear whith me, when im driving on the highway around 3500-4000 rpm, if i push further down and get past 4200-4700 rpm my car goes waaaaaaaa and i get pushed to the seat like some kind of turbo or something, could this be vtec kicking in? could this be a jdm D15B vtec? there is no solenid around the head though, or does these automatic cars act like this?

If there is no vtrec solenoid then there is no way for there to be vtec activation.

103RU24 is for a US market civic vx...but it is also used in non us market 1.5 and 1.4 engines from 96+.

Isn't this a 6th Gen motor? Why not get a kit for this generation of Civic?

The 1.5L only came in the LEV model of Domani, so there's a good clue. OP, is this the "E" model of Domani? If so, turns out the timing belt is Honda p/n 06141-P2A-305.

Yeah thats my car! the "E" LEV one, and it seems you´r right about the timing belt, the 06141-P2A-305 is a 103RU24 timing belt, now ill look for the tensioner and the right water pump.
Many thanks
