what is the purpose of the crank fluctuation sensor and how critical is it to engine performance? will the vehicle still starts without it?

Default Re: honda crank fluctuation sensor (bannie)

The crank fluctuation sensor is mounted on the oil pump of the OBD2 engines. It's used to detect a misfire. If you don't have it and the ECU is looking for it, it will set a MIL. The car will start and run fine without it.
