Default Technical Help Needed

Hi There

I'm ArazustA and as you may notice i'm new here and i'm also in need of some technical advise so i really hope i've come to the right place. I might as well get to my point, i own a Honda HR-V 1.6i 4WD, non V-TEC, I love the car to bits but i feel it's very under-powered.

I was thinking of the options of purchasing a B16 or a B18 engine, trying installing a turbo or trying to change the engine to a V-TEC. I read some where it depends on the type of chassis i have on my HR-V before i can replace my D series engine to a B series, also it may not work with the 4WD system and i may have to disable that. As for the Turbo, my HR-V engine bay may not have the space to install the Turbo in the right place. For the V-TEC option, i wouldn't know where to start with it, there are so many questions for all options and really i need to find the right option before spending my money.

All i want is to have my HR-V power band to around 160BHP to 180BHP, at the moment i think it's running at about 100BHP to 105BHP with no mods. My future mods with be an induction kit and a custom made exhaust from front to back.

So my questions are:

Which option is best and cost effective ?

Would a B series engine fit in my HR-V and will i lose my 4WD system ?

Would a Turbo run on a D series standard engine or would i need extra mods ?

Is the V-TEC upgrade worth a closer look at ? and what would i need for that ?

I truely hope some one can answer my questions
Many thanks in advance.
