Well, i've not to sure, but i i'm contemplating on doing my senior project on different ways to add performance to your car. Then on the essay portion i'm thinking about writing the ways such as supercharger, turbocharger, NA, etc. and how they work. For my product i would put a turbocharger on my civic. Only problem is i need a mentor anyone know a good way of getting one? Should i just call a import shop around here in georgia and ask if they'd be interested in helping a senior? If anyone here would like to help such as supply the parts, which i would pay for of course.. etc.. let me know.

Nope i have, I started school Aug 3.

 

aug. third?!!! holy crap! i remember in high school we had one year when we started on aug. 29th...

anyway, did you ever go to howstuffworks.com ? that site is great for the basics. also if you go to borders you can find a lot of books on the subject. i wold suggest reading up a bit first. once you understand how it all works and why it works, then turbo your car. what car do you have anyway?

 

I'm getting a 96-00 civic, hopefully a 99-00. I plan to just turbo the d16y8 and use uberdata to tune. Only problem is i don't know how to go about getting a mentor.

I need to be able to prove my mentor is an expert at the field i'm doing, plus i need to be able to record a Interview with my mentor, it can be over the phone though.

Alright, thanks a lot man, i'm going to be checking with my teacher about how this will work out if i have a mentor from out of state. Like how he'll sign off on things and such. Would you have a problem being my mentor if my teacher gives the ok? If so i do you have like a website where i can prove that you own the shop or maybe just give my teacher your number in case she wants to call?
