Default High Idling problem !

after being warmed up and at a complete stop of course, it will idle at 1,500 RPMS for a good 10+seconds, after that it will drop down to 900/1000, is this normal?

before once stopped it would drop to 800/900 which is normal, but the last few days it has been stuck that high all the time, till finally dropping down after an extended period of time

any ideas? thanks in advance

check the tps sensor at the throttle body with a volt meter. it may be off. also, check the iac screw in the TB as well you might need to adjust it or you might have a loose vaccum line in the fuel system somewhere causing a high idle. that happened to me, the line from the intake mani to the FPR came off raising my idle really high by about 500rpm

Maybe your Throttle valve isn’t closing enough.
Try to adjust it a bit closer.
With the eacv valve connector loose the RPM's should be 650.
If it’s higher, you got an air leak. Maybe a hose, maybe the throttle.

BTW. I've got a really big problem myself. My CRX ed9 with B20-Vtec is stolen!
In Holland it's not possible to sell it because everybody knows me. But maybe it’s shipped to Greece.
I assume that you've got a Honda site in Greece. Can you warn me if a B20 powered CRX is sold in your country?
Maybe put it on a Greek BBS?

You can see the car on my photosite: http://www.home.zonnet.nl/frank_typer/

I'm not a football fan.......

I'm trying everything to get my car back!
Its maybe the only B20-Vtec in europe, so its pretty hard to sell here.

I hope you can help me!
