Default high compression piston info

Say if someone used high compression pistons somewhere around 11.5-12.5:1 c/r, would using cams designed for 10.0:1 make an engine have the same power as stock pistons? I am asking because I figured that larger comp pistons would create a more powerful explosion, but when the same amount of air/fuel is entering the cylinders with stock cams it would make using high comp pistons useless or should I say unnoticable over stock pistons? Correct me if i'm wrong.

more compression equates to more power, unless cam timing is comprimised or the specs of the cam are specifically designed form your application (which no off the shelf cam is)
