high compression NA motor ?s, need techs
heres my situation. just got finished with a build up of my motor. JE 12.5:1 pistons, eagle rods, JUN 3 cams and valve train. anyways, i pulled my plugs today just to look down the cylinder and it looks like there might b rust on my piston domes (all 4). its kinda hard to tell but its definitely rust colored. everything was torqued to factory specs. upon start up it was ran until the radiator fan came on. i drove the car for the first time just to get some gas (chevron 92 octane). im awaitin my chips for my ECU but right now im runnin my stock P28. the spark plugs r all the exact same "gray" color on all 4 of the electrodes which indicates lean. i pulled the plugs one by one after finding this rust color and then put a little bit of oil down the head into the cylinder then disconnected my injector wires. i turned over the motor with one spark plug out at a time and had a white paper towel over the cylinder. each one just spit the slight amount of oil i put in the cylinder out, it was just clean oil, no rust color came out on the paper towel. also when the car is running there is air bubbles coming from the radiator but it could b just air still trapped in the system. ive only got around 6 miles on the car since start up and it hasnt been hot rodded yet. techs only please.
finish breaking in the motor, if it runs weird there could be a problem.
and bleed your coolant system ASAP. bubbles should go away. if they dont you may have a head gasket problem.
