HID
I know of OSRAM and Philips are good. The purple color HID are AWESOME but I don't know exactly how to tell what temperature (IE: 5000k, 7000k, 8000k) it is to produce a PURPLISH COLOR!!! DOes anyone know?
6000k and above creates purplish tint and not worth it imo. but some people get hids purely for looks so can't argue there.
good companies would be: philips and CATZ. be careful because some so called "philips hid kits" aren't true philips.

Anything above 4300K is retarded in my opinion. You pay more for a supposed "upgrade" (higher color temp) but you end up getting less light. You pay extra for a different look and reduced performance. You make the choice.
And no matter what you may think about the color of BMW or Audi HID's, the color is solely a result of the projector/reflector optics. They all use 4100-4300K bulbs.
