Icon3 HELP!! vtec problems with b16a2

car is a 2000 dx hb, b16a2, p2t ecu... no cel's.

the problem is not the solenoid i have my friends gsr on it now,
im guessing vtec was wired to the computer but not sure oil level is fine...

wouldnt oil pressure problems cause cel or oil light, or a noticable diffrence in power?

should i trace the wire down?

heres whats getting me, every once in a while ill have vtec engage for a few mins then go away again?

im lost on this anything will help...

thanks

- make sure vtec solenoid and vtec oil pressure are wired up
- make sure you have sufficient oil in your motor (also the right thickness)
- make sure car is at normal operating temp (temp needle around the middle)
- make sure your vehicle speed sensor works (tach/speed on cluster should work)
- after all that go take a ride...mash the gas and smile

Make sure you're car is displaying CEL's by running it after disconnecting the MAP sensor. Get an oil pressure gauge and see what the pressure is for yourself.
