Help with Valve Keeper Install
Is there a specific tool or something for installing valve keepers? Im doin it on a H22a head and im having no luck what so ever! Please help i cant get them to stick to the valve and there's no space to fit human fingers to put them in.
are you using a really good spring compressor? if not thats your problem.
ive never had a problem. put them in the retainer, put it on the spring, compress and push with your finger.
im using a schley compressor too.

Try a long, but fairly thin, magnet and a little screw driver (like an eye glass one or slightly larger). Get it into position with the magnet, push it down in place with the screw driver, and then push it over to make room for the other one. That's what I had to do when I helped my friend do a 4G63 head. I also have fairly small hands so that was an advantage to me.
im using Snap-Ons "Head on Block" Spring Compressor. Its the one i see most people using but i've tried many others and im not having any luck. Im goin to keep tryin but please give me more pointers.
