When I took my hubs out to put in new bearings, I used a press. The knuckles had to come off of the car to get them in/out. I've never heard of anyone taking them out while still on the car. I would recommend borrowing a Helms.

Why are you taking out the hubs anyway? What kind of conversion are you doing?

You would need to break loose the upper and lower ball joints and the tie rod.

If you're only trying to replace studs, there's a way to do it without taking off the hubs. Somehow you grind part of the stud so it will slip in behind the hub.

Try a search, or repost about replacing wheel studs.
