yesterday it rained really hard and my car siezed up cause water got in the intake and maybe the distributor and today the car worked fine but now my speedometer isnt work right it just move up and down aimlessly. Can any one help me out to let me know whats the problem.....

 

What year is the car? There is a plug on the top back of the trany that might have gone bad or came undone. Check that out.

 

its a 96 it never did this intill i went threw a big pudle tha siezed the car

check VSS(vehicle speed sensor)

 

I went through a big puddle once and same thing happened to me.. After a day or two the speedo started to blip functioning, disfunctioning, and finally worked properly... Just continue to drive, and the problem will fix itself!!!!!
