Default Help... smog referee info needed!!

Ok so a friend and I are driving in Mo Val when a cop decides to pull me over. He said my exhaust is loud and asked me a couple question bout my VAFC. Anyways he pops my hood and takes pictures and inspects. Its an LSVTEC in a 93 coupe and well now I have to go to a smog ref next month. What are my options? Because he took pictures, does that mean I have to show up to the smog ref with that same motor? What are the exact reasons for the pictures? Or can I just swap a single cam in my car? I have a 92 CX motor laying around, can I put that in even though its an older motor? And also I heard that you can just skip the smog ref and pay a fine. How does that work? Basically.... what are ALL my options?

i thought that i could just pay the fine and get away with it, but no. your gonna have to take the car into the ref and pay the fine. my fine was like $325

how do i find out the exact yr of my block.. cause im thinking about putting a b20 head which is the same as an ls.. but its a newer yr. and my block is a b18a which could have came out of a 93 integ (which is obd1) but also could have came out of a 90 integ (which is obd0). i thought if i used a block from a 90 i would have to change my whole wiring harness and computer to obd0 in order for it to be legal

swap your motor back. The state ref in my area doesn't see no pictures.

I even gave him a dumb reason why i have to state ref my car and he didn't care.

It sounds like their checking if your motor is stolen. Perhaps, that's why he what's you to go in. I would bring all of the documents with you for that motor to proof that you purchased it and that it's not stolen.

Was it a state hwy patrol? if not, I won't even go and have it checked out.
